• Plan and execute vehicle-level tests to evaluate energy management and driving
quality attributes (e.g., range, regenerative braking, drive-off behavior, coasting,
acceleration feel).
• Support development and validation of energy consumption strategies and vehicle
response behavior in real-world and controlled test environments.
• Instrument vehicles with data acquisition systems (e.g., CAN loggers, GPS, HV current
sensors, IMUs) and verify signal quality.
• Conduct tests under various driving scenarios including city, highway, hill route, and
standard driving cycles (e.g., MIDC, WLTP, NEDC).
• Analyze collected data and generate test reports summarizing KPIs, findings, and root
cause analysis.
• Benchmark competitor vehicles and contribute to target setting for energy and driving
quality attributes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including calibration, controls, HMI, and software
teams to provide feedback and support for attribute tuning.
• Maintain test vehicle readiness, coordinate workshop tasks, and ensure test
instrumentation integrity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in test methodology and attribute development
processes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of experience in vehicle testing or attribute engineering, preferably in energy management or vehicle dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with data acquisition tools (e.g., Vector CANape/CANalyzer, INCA, Dewesoft, Racelogic, AVL).
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, or FlexRay communication protocols.
• Familiarity with electric vehicle systems (HV battery, inverter, e-motor) is a strong plus.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or Excel for data processing is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional and international team environment.
• High attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with regulatory driving cycles (e.g., MIDC, WLTP).
• Understanding of vehicle-level energy flow and control strategy (e.g., torque delivery, pedal feel, regenerative blending).
• Prior involvement in subjective vehicle attribute tuning or test correlation.
